The Publication Programme aims to support scientific publication within the scope of nature conservation in developing countries. Applicants must be research scientists who work full-time at locally based research institutions in developing countries. The draft script or content of the proposed book should be submitted along with a proposal. |

| Applicants eligible for grant |
An applicant must
- be a national of a developing country, preferably in the Asia Pacific region;
- be conducting research at a local research institution or relevant organisation;
- have completed field research work on a particular topic in nature conservation; and
- have prepared or be in the process of preparing a book-length manuscript that comprises a body of primary-source material or data from said research work above.

| Obligations as a grantee |
- To submit an English progress report of 500 to 700 words with several photographs once every six months after its commencement.
- To submit at least two copies of published book and a detailed financial report upon completion of the project.
