 The Scholarship Programme in Indonesia operates through a partnership with its local counterpart, the Indonesian NEF Committee, which is organised by the university representatives and other concerned people. In the fiscal year 2006, the financial support continued to support a total of 152 students.

Lao PDR
 This Scholarship Programme in Lao PDR operates through a partnership with its local counterpart, National University of Laos (NUOL). In the fiscal year 2006, financial support was extended to a total of 101 undergraduate students, including 25 newly selected students.

 The Scholarship Programme in Malaysia operates through a partnership with its local counterpart, Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation (ITBC) of the Universiti Malaysia Sabah.  The Scholarship Programme in the Philippines operates through a partnership with its local counterpart, City of Puerto Princesa. In the fiscal year 2006, financial support was extended to a total of 39 students, including 10 newly selected freshmen and two MSc students.

 The Scholarship Programme in Vietnam operates through a partnership with its local counterpart, Centre for Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (CRES). In the fiscal year 2006, financial support was extended to a total of 49 scholars, including 24 new MSc students.
